At the weekend I had the privilege of being asked to cover Jenny & Jodie’s Wedding at St Elizabeth’s House In Plymouth. A venue I love and work at regularly.

The pre wedding shoot on Plymouth Hoe went really well. We discussed wet weather contingency plans, but there was no need as the weather held off and we had a completely dry day with some fantastic evening sunshine. It was some of the best light I’ve been lucky enough to work in for a while.
I think Jenny had this day planed in her mind of while, and not long after Jodie proposed they had booked me. Jenny saying she knew exactly who she wanted to photograph her wedding which was was really nice thing to hear.

Jenny’s high end designer Jenny Packham dress was incredible and really had the wow factor. I expected nothing else from the fashion savey Jenny, with the added input from her glamorous sisters and bridesmaids. The boys looked equally good with their Blue suits accessorised with awesome Ray-Ban sunglass. I popped over to see them at The Brook Inn, Plympton. Just over the road, to get a few build up photos of them and capture some of the nerves and anticipation from their end.
The Ceremony was at 3pm which this time year worked perfectly, allowing a relaxed morning for everyone. It set up a full, but not pressured flowing wedding, with the Wedding Breakfast ending at around 7.30pm. This allowed us to get out in that perfect light for the Bride and Groom portraits just as the sun dropped under the horizon.
